FTTP nbn® rollout QLD
The first stage of the nbn® rollout in Queensland took place when premises in Townsville were connected in late 2011. In 2022, Burleigh Waters, Gilston, Highland Park, Mudgeeraba, Robina, Varsity Lakes, and Worongary were the first locations in the state to upgrade to FTTP.
Today, more than 64% of Queensland’s fixed-line households and small businesses now have access to the fastest residential speeds, and that will increase to nearly 90% by 2025.
If your home or business is eligible for FTTP but you haven’t already been upgraded, you might be eligible for our $0 upgrade offer. Simply place an order for one of our highest nbn® speed tier plans and we’ll sort the rest.

nbn® QLD Business Fibre Zones

2 simple steps to connect!

Step 2: Get connected!
If your nbn® is already connected, it will be a simple matter of our Aussie customer service team provisioning your connection. The time required depends on your service type; it can be done within a few hours for FTTP households! Plug your new Swoop Broadband router into the data point (or set up your existing router) and enjoy life in the fast lane!
Installation step (if Required).
Some locations require an nbn® technician to come and finalise the connection before we can switch you on. If this is the case, you’ll book a time slot that works for you. Once the work is complete, you’ll be ready to go!
nbn® is available across Queensland, covering major cities, regional towns, and rural areas. Most locations have access to at least one type of nbn® connection, though speeds and technology vary.
