What is the Business Fibre Initiative?

NBN Co has rolled out the Business Fibre Initiative, a major investment of up to $700 million over three years to help boost innovation, productivity, and growth for Australian businesses.

A big highlight of this initiative was the launch of nbn Business Fibre Zones across the country, back in 2020. These zones expanded the reach of business fibre.

As of 2024, NBN Co’s Business Fibre Initiative has established 322 Business Fibre Zones across Australia, including 142 in regional centres.

For most businesses within these zones, nbn is offering Enterprise Ethernet with no up-front build costs and at competitive pricing. This makes connecting your business to the best internet available easier and more affordable than ever.

All about nbn® Business Fibre Zones

Business Fibre Zones give businesses in those areas access to premium business-grade services when they order a business Enterprise Ethernet service like ours. This means lightning-fast, super-reliable fibre internet for your business – along with unlimited data, best efforts SLA and symmetrical speed tiers at a competitive price.

Right now, there are 322 nbn® Business Fibre Zones across Australia, including 142 in regional centres, making high-speed connectivity accessible to more businesses around the country.

Hear from happy customers!

Will there be more Business Fibre Zones?

Yes, NBN Co is working with state and local governments to expand the Business Fibre Initiative wherever there is demand, making Enterprise Ethernet more accessible to businesses across Australia.

What is Enterprise Ethernet?

Enterprise Ethernet is a step up from high-speed business nbn® fibre. It provides a robust fibre connection with the fastest symmetrical speeds on the nbn® network, meaning you get the same lightning-fast upload speeds and download speeds. It also offers priority data options, which means your business jumps to the front of the queue during congested times, and dedicated 24/7, onshore support.
