1. Locate your Phone Socket
There are 2 types of Phone socket
- Normal Phone Socket
- Older Style Phone socket (You may need a modular adaptor, if it’s not present in your home)
Please note, FTTN/B does not require any filter

2. Connect your NBN Connection Box
First of all, switch on your modem box, and to your phone socket using the standard phone cable.
One end of the phone cable goes to the Wall Socket port on your NBN box and other end goes to your phone socket.
It is recommended to use standard 1-meter-long cable for the connection between modem and socket.
3. Ensure your NBN box have Sync
You can confirm this by checking the DSL lights status on your NBN Connection Box. It must be Blue. It can take up to 10 minutes to get connection.
If the DSL light on NBN connection box (NTD) is off, please contact Swoop on 1300 66 55 75 for further assistance.
4. Connecting your Swoop modem
Ensure your Swoop modem is powered on. Connect your Swoop modem using an Ethernet cable to the GATEWAY port of your NBN box.
One end of the Ethernet cable goes to the WAN port on your Swoop modem and other end goes to the GATEWAY port on your NBN box (see picture below for reference)
Please allow up to 15 minutes and your Swoop modem will automatically configure itself and Internet light will light up.
5. Connecting your Devices
You can connect via either via Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi. Default wireless name and password is printed on modem sticker.
